Home Video/ Lake Nacimento

Big rolling clouds and wheat colored northern hills + Baby Rex feeding deer, Arlo & Leon at the Paso Robles Olive Oil festival and lake community clubhouse + an extra friendly roadside cow = Steinbeck inspired day dreams.

And my favorite version of my all time favorite song. (Quality is a little weak when uploaded to blogger. Not sure how to escape that?)

  1. Again you leave me speechless. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family, and your amazing talent. <3

  2. that was awesome.

the dried hillsides, pastures and water...very steinbeck-ess. i finished east of eden not too long ago,he gives the best descriptions of scenery ever!

  3. my fav blog pal, thank you for the sweet comments about the husband's music. He was beaming when I relayed the message. So happy you liked it. We are working on a secret song together (eep!) not sure it will ever see the light of day though! As always, your videos/photos are so beautiful. I love your family and I'm thrilled you all got a great escape. That lake house looks absolutely dreamy. We went to one growing up as well... nostalgia is a wonderful thing. Love that are returning the favor to the boys! xx

  4. Wow, that was gorgeous! I love that you're capturing so much moving life, as well as the still shots! Thanks for reminding me to get more video with my girls :D Happy Monday!

  5. Oh I LOVE this! You really captured the magic of a family roadtrip so beautifully. I adore all the dreamy California scenery floating by and the song goes so perfectly with it all. You're makin' me all wanderlusty now :)

Wow, it looks like you all had a really fun time together and how cool to share a special childhood place with your own children for the first time and witness them developing there own love for it too. So fun!

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what did you use to film and edit? It's so visually stunning!
