ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely space! Did you build the shelving/desk unit yourselves?
ReplyDeleteNevermind. Just got around to reading the Beautiful Mess post. :)
DeleteIt was great to see in more detail. I always love your style, and especially those amazing pipe shelves. I actually had no idea that your house was in a subdivision type deal where all the houses are the same. You make it look so unique and with so much character and personality. Great room!

Thank you Lilly!
DeleteThat's a great complement coming from you - I adore your home, and decor choices. You have a great eye.
Just wanted to say I love your home and your style! I have 2 boys (fully expect more in the future) and am often wondering how to decorate in a sensible yet stylish way. Like you I have loathed tract houses but this gives me hope! You are totally an inspiration to me, thanks for opening up your home for us to see!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that Ashley. I am constantly rearranging things in the house to suit the boy's in a practical way, with some stylish touches I still like in the house. It's not always easy. As you know, they like to wreck and ruin things a lot :o
DeleteFantastic post! I love how you've managed to take a new house and still give it that older, rustic feel... that takes some talent!
ReplyDeletethank you! You're right. New houses are more challenging that I ever imagined. 6 years later it's just starting to feel like home to us.
DeleteI love that grey comforter! Do you mind sharing where you got it or what the fabric is called?
ReplyDeleteAlso i love that shelving unit! I'm finitely inspired to get all my projects done now!
HI Loryn!
DeleteThat comforter was from West Elm a year or so ago. I love that pattern. Not sure if it's still there, but I got it on sale, so it was a great deal at the time.
Thanks for stopping by!

HI Loryn!
DeleteThat comforter is from West Elm a couple years ago.
The shelves are so cool. I wish I had enough imagination (and patience I would think) to create something so quirky!
ReplyDeletethank you! I like "quirky" :)
DeleteCute Room!! My three boys love sharing a room too. I don't think they would know what to do in a room by themselves ;)
ReplyDeleteyes, that's exactly how I feel Ali.
Deletecool, i LOVE that you let the 3 boys take the master bedroom and how absolutely amazing have you guys made it?! i would not have guessed that you lived in a tract home either, you make it absolutely uniquely charming. i hope to someday begin to incorporate that slightly more modern, clean-yet-rustic approach that you pull off so flawlessly. your gorgeous wood floors always warm my eyes if that makes any sense.
ReplyDeletethank you Heather!! That's very sweet of you. Track homes really are hard, it still feels difficult for me to pull together, but hardwood floors always help :)
DeleteI love the colors! We are just starting to work on our son's nursery and we chose a similar gray!
ReplyDeletethanks Christa! I think gray is a nice soothing color, perfect for little boy spaces.
DeleteLove your home! Can you please tell me the source of the cozy rug on your boys floor, what size is it? Much thanks!
ReplyDeletethank you!! The rug is Ikea. 70$ - 4X6? I believe?
