Dear Public Library

I know. We are always late in our returns, but only because we have a hard time letting the books go. I fell in love with the Quilts of Gee's Bend, and somewhere in my stingy little heart I even considered keep it for myself, hiding it away and ignoring the lettered pleas for $$ and returns that would surely follow.

Don't worry, I realized how wrong that really was. Now I pledge to return what I have on my coffee table tomorrow. Quilts included. I will pay what I owe, I will not complain, and I will try my hardest to get our next batch in on time, or - a little closer to "on time" than usual.

Because straight laced 'cultured' adults don't steal books.

Kindly,
Jk
