The cutest handmade Valentine cards, last minute gift wrapping, heaps of chocolate, two school parties, one afternoon picnic with cousins who, at this age, count as Valentines, two failed naps, one candle lit dinner at home with our favorite take out and a late night devoted to memorizing a poem about Abraham Lincoln to recite the following morning in front of class.
We had a nice, simple holiday.
I overheard Leon, at the end of the night, soaking in his bath, say to himself "I had a very good Valentine's day..."
Which pretty much made mine.
