Inevitably, when you treat your Sunday and Monday like a Friday and a Saturday, your Tuesday feels like a Monday, Tuesday and a Wednesday all wrapped up in one.
Home today from a spontaneous camp trip I find myself lost in a sea of laundry, an ocean of emails and dreadfully facing the over exhausted bunch of these three filthy boys just now coming down off an amped up camping adventure high. But I hope to be back soon with some photos and details about the new tent. As well as a few camping tips I drafted mentally during this particular outing. No, we're not professionals by any means. Hardly. But, we made it out alive and well in a tent with 3 boys, a ragged dog and a newborn, so I figure it counts for something.
Until then, wish me luck in trenches of overlooked / overwhelmed home duties calling me in.
an amazing trip you just had. would love to read your tips & the magic spell you must have cast to make it all work ♥
ReplyDeletelove the real life house pics! am feeling buried in my own masses of housework, being 20 weeks pregnant with a four year old my house is usually a mess these days. i said to my husband when i started to stay home with my daughter during the day "would you rather a nice cooked meal or a tidy house to come home to every day cos you cant have both!?" he said the meal. i wonder if 7 years later he sometimes wishes he opted for the latter! x Em x
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as being caught up on housework. The idea of a spontaneous trip is so exciting to me right now. I'm pining for when we have our next home and have room to have a trailer (that I am dreaming of gutting and fixing up) so we can say something like "Let's go to North Carolina this weekend."
ReplyDeleteI was in the EXACT same boat today...and I have to admit I almost lost my shit. Three loads of laundry and two napless babes, a sink full of mess kit dishes, and the smell of campfire still in my hair...I was about ready to just turn around and go back! It's not the camping that's hard, it's the come-down! Glad you guys had fun, can't wait to hear more about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you've answered this before, but I was wondering what hair products you use (shampoo, conditioner, ect.)? Your hair is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteso real Jess! after a long holiday weekend of birthday celebrations and pool parties, the laundry is still sitting unfolded in the living room, garden needs watering, and kitchen floor is sticky, but I'm busy nursing and napping.
