Halloween

Pumpkin carving in the park, school trunk 'r treats, parties, playdates, crafting, and a rotation of costumes that included the likes of Flash, vintage Christian Hasoi, gypsy baby, a monkey suit (worn by each of the boys on all of their first Halloweens) one bright happy dancing banana, and my best attempt at Day of the Dead face painting that came about rather last minute while trying to figure out how to dress up an entire family in a very short amount of time. Inspiration fresh from the drive-in movie the night prior, where we met with friends to see The Book of Life.

Our October was jam packed with all the regular events and activities and the big night couldn't have ended better. A pizza party with school freinds around the corner, then trick 'r treating and a Ramones cover band playing in a garage for a drive way filled with kids who danced the night way just before the rain started to fall.

What just might be our favorite Halloween to date.

  1. Looks/sounds like a good one! By the time Halloween rolled around our parts, we were pretty Halloweened out after our party the weekend before and the kids' events at school. We ended up paying a surprise visit to an old couple that had invited us for popcorn balls, and then settling in back at home with a movie.

  2. Seriously, can we invite ourselves over next year? It was totally bunk here. Two trick-or-treaters. That's it. WTF. In other news, you rocked it out yet again -- last minute or not, y'all look killer. Super cute.
